Missouri Never Ends

First, a big thank you to Kristin and Paul for opening their home to us for the night. You have a lovely home and it was fun chatting with you! Thanks for having a glass of wine ready and a spread for breakfast. Neither were necessary but both enjoyed!

St. Louis. Home to a skinny arch, a muddy river, and beer! Or at least that's all we saw.

The Gateway Arch is really cool. If you are claustrophobic, enjoy it from the ground. You go up in a tiny pod. Tiny. We made fast friends with our pod partners! The view is incredible, though. Worth rubbing legs with a stranger.

We put or toes to the muddy Mississippi. That's as close as you need to go.

Anheuser Busch welcomed us with a free brewery tour and a free beer. Can't beat that! It's a giant facility that's makes a lot of beer. We saw the Clydesdales. Beautiful animals. Beautiful and big. We also went to Grants Farm where they live when not at the brewery. Babies there :)

At the recommendation of a new friend we had yummy pizza at a great little hole in the wall and frozen custard from at St. Louis staple. A good time spent in the city!

Since leaving the city we have been on and off of Route 66. Here's that in a nutshell.

Missouri is boring. Once the arch is in the rear view mirror, not a lot happens. "America's Main Street" isn't clearly marked. We've mastered the three point turn. We are four miles from Oklahoma. Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting. :)
